The Karachi Port handled 61,498 tonnes of cargo comprising 22,579 tonnes of import cargo and 38,919 tonnes of export cargo including 2,077 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 22,579 tonnes comprised of 16,089 tonnes of containerised cargo; 656 tonne of general cargo and 5,834 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 38,919 tonnes comprised of 14,399 tonnes of containerised cargo; 844 tonnes of general cargo; 2,076 tonnes of cement and 21,600 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely APL Topaz, MOL Wind, Yvonne and Bunga Melati-5 with two container ships, one oil tanker and one bulk cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Three vessels viz Hanjin Monaco, Lodestar Genesis and Abdul Latif S with one container ship, one oil tanker and one bulk cargo ship respectively are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Hanjin Monaco, Bravo, Alliance Norfolk and Lodestar Genesis with two container ships, one vehicles carrier and one oil tanker respectively are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Seven vessels viz APL Agate, Bravo, Al-Mirqab, APL Brisbane, Greenwich Bridge, Purwati and Alliance Norfolk carrying five container ships, one chemicals carrier and one vehicles carrier respectively due to arrive on Tuesday, while four vessels viz Patriotic, Liberty Pride, SE Pacific and Star Sea Bridge carrying one chemicals carrier, two vehicles carriers and one coal carrier respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 89,288 tonnes, comprising 76,808 tonnes of import cargo and 12,480 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 2,150 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 76,808 tonnes includes 38,528 tonnes of furnace oil; 600 tonnes of LPG; 5,000 tonnes of palm oil and 32,680 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 12,480 tonnes includes 4,310 tonnes of cement and 8,170 tonnes of containerised cargo. Two ships namely CV MSC Anafi and Ad fines Sky with containers and edible oil sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, on Tuesday afternoon.
A total number of four vessels CV MSC Anafi, MV Hiba Al-Noor-B, Fair Spirit and Ad fines Sky are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours. As many as six ships namely CMA CGM Mozart, Akaki, Al-Buhaira, Chemroad Lily, Bunga Melati-5 and Rio Gracia with one container ship, two furnace oil tankers, two palm oil tankers and one LPG carrier are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim.
A total number of four vessels viz CMA CGM Mozart, CV Asir, Bunga Melati-5 and MT Rio Gracia carrying containers, palm oil and LPG are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
Three ships namely CV OOCL San Francisco, CV Alexander and MV Ocean Eagle are due to arrive on Wednesday. As many as two vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget and CV Safmore Nagami with two container ships are also expected to arrive at Port Qasim.
