More rain coupled with snowfall is expected over the hills of upper parts of the country on Saturday and Sunday, the met office predicted on Friday. "A westerly wave is likely to approach western parts of the country on Friday night," the office said, adding that it was likely to cause scattered rain with snowfall over the hills over north-east Balochistan (Zhob, Quetta and Kalat divisions) on Friday night and Saturday.
Under the influence, scattered rain with snowfall over the hills is expected in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions), Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, the office said. More snowfall is also predicted over the hills of Murree and Galliyat on Saturday and Sunday, the office forecast.
