A group of youngsters, who failed to get admission at the University of Karachi on merit, disrupted the B.Com. paper at the examination centre on Friday. According to a KU official, the protesting youngsters snatched the answer scripts from the candidates appearing at a couple of centres set up at Karachi University Campus. Out of 14 centres at the Campus, the B.Com. paper was disrupted at three centres only.
The candidates appearing in the B.Com. examination whose Friday's paper was disturbed demanded that they should be given a chance to re-appear in the paper. The University authorities have decided to accommodate such candidates on February 1 during a paper for the improvement of division. The official said that only merit would be given consideration in admissions at the university. Police and rangers reached the scene and brought the situation under control.
