All round improvement seen on cotton market, spot rate raised to Rs 5,750; lint price at Rs 6,000

All round improvement was witnessed on cotton market on Monday, said participants here. KCA gave a jump to sport rate of Rs 150 to Rs 5,750, they said. Prices of seed cotton in Sindh were at Rs 1800-2400 and in Punjab at Rs 2000-2750 it was reported.
In ready dealings over 12,000 bales of cotton changed hand at Rs 4500-6000 - obviously higher than last week's closing, they added. Most of the markets in Far East were closed on account of Lunar year.
The following deals were reported: 1600 bales of cotton from Mir Pur Khas sold at Rs 4500/4700, 1000 bales from Upper Sindh at Rs 5600/5700, 2000 bales from Haroonabad at Rs 5400, 800 bales from Bahawal Pur at Rs 5400/5450, 400 bales from Mian Channo at Rs 5400, 400 bales from Jhang at Rs 5400, 1000 bales from Faqir Wali ae Rs 5400, 400 bales from Sahiwal at Rs 5400, 600 bales from Hasil Pur at Rs 5600, 1000 bales from Fort Abbas at Rs 5600/5625, 400 bales from Khanewal at Rs 5700, 1000 bales from Rahim Yar Khan at Rs 5800, 1200 bales from Rajan Pur at Rs 6000, 1000 bales from Jalal Pur at Rs 6000and 800 bales from Ali Pur at Rs 6000
