Mahmood Alam to look after FBR Chairman''s charge

The federal government has deputed Mahmood Alam to look after the charge of Chairman of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Sources told Business Recorder here on Tuesday that the Establishment Division has issued the notification of ''look after'' charge of FBR Chairman to Mahmood Alam.
In the absence of the FBR Chairman, the FBR cannot issue notification for Acting Charge or look after charge of FBR Chairman. Thus, the notification of the ''look after'' charge to Alam has been notified by the Establishment Division. He is the senior most officer of Pakistan Customs Group (Grade-22), who had previously served in various key positions across the country in his "illustrious career" spanning over 33 years.
