Seven members of a family including two women and four children died and one injured when roof of their dilapidated house suddenly caved in due to gas cylinder explosion in Namak Mandi area here on Wednesday, said police and Rescue 1122 sources.The incident occurred at Mohallah Farooq Azam in Shah Qabool Colony.
The team of Rescue 1122 in collaboration with the local volunteers rushed to the house and recovered the bodies from the debris. They victims have been identified as wife of Arshad, Nazar Mohammad, his wife, three daughters Atia, Amn, Maryam and two sons of the victim Waqar and Asim. Arshad, the head of the victim family, who was injured in the incident was rushed to Lady Reading Hospital.
