Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) have announced their support for the shutter-down and wheel-jam strike called by Sindh Bachayo (save) Committee for Saturday, January 28.
Sindh Bachayo Committee (SBC), an alliance of nationalist parties of Sindh, had give call for shutter-down and wheel-jam strike against the 20th Constitutional Amendment Bill submitted by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in the National Assembly. The announcements to support the strike were made by the parties during separate meeting with a delegation of SBC on Thursday.
The SBC delegation was comprised its convener Jalal Mehmood Shah, Shah Mohammad Shah, Syed Ghulam Shah, Ilahi Bux Bikak and others. The delegation went to the office of Awami National Party (ANP) located at Bacha Khan Chowk, where provincial Labour minister Amir Nawab, Bashir Jan and others received the delegation.
Jalal Mehmood Shah briefed the ANP leaders about the strike call and sought its support. The ANP leaders said they would never accept the 20th Amendment Bill, terming it a conspiracy against the country. ANP leaders announced to support the strike. Later, SBC's delegation went to the office of PkMAP, where it met Sabreen Khan, Badshah Gul and others. The provincial leaders of PkMAP announced to fully support the strike.
Similarly, the delegation called on Syed Gous Ali Shah, President PML-N Sindh, at his residence in DHA. Syed Gous Ali Shah also announced PML-N support for the strike.
On this occasion, while talking to media Jalal Shah said that the strike would be very successful, which would give the message to the rulers that Sindh would never accept any kind of amendments which paved the way for division of Sindh. He said that they would also meet the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, JUI-F, National People's Party (NPP) and others groups today on Friday to seek their support.
