At least four persons including an elder man were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Thursday. According to police and rescue sources, a young man was shot dead in Jinnah Road Sher Shah in the limits of Sher Shah police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained, while police found his body from Jinnah Road Street No 1 near private flourmills.
SHO Shahid Jabbar said the victim, who wore blue jeans and black shirt, appeared to be Baloch. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post mortem and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification. Police registered an FIR (12/12) against unidentified men on the complaint of state and initiated probe.
Another man was gunned down while offering resistance at Korangi area in the limits of Zaman Town police station. The incident took place on Thursday where a 25-year-old Mohammad Naeem son of Omar received fatal bullet wounds when he offered resistance during mobile snatching bid.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities where he succumbed to his injuries. Later police handed over his body to the heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report. A salesman of one of the mineral water companies was shot dead at his house when he offered resistance during robbery bid in the jurisdiction of Surjani police station.
The victim Mohsin, 35, son of Feroz, a resident of sector 4-D, challenged some three bandits when they barged into his house. Resultantly he was hit by multiple bullet and died on the spot. After committing the crime, these bandits escaped from the scene with all looted valuables. The body was shifted to ASH for legal formalities.
An elder man was shot dead near Super Market located at Super Highway in the precincts of Sohrab Goth police station. The victim Mohammad Nawaz Barki, 65, son of Abdul Malik Barki, a resident of Delux Town Sohrab Goth, was assaulted by unidentified men when he was standing near market. Resultantly he received eight bullets and died on the spot.
