Maulvi Sarwar, the murderer of former Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Zil-e-Huma, died in Kot Lakhpat jail hospital, here on Friday. Police said he had killed the minister at Muslim League House in Gujranwala on February 20, 2007, and was arrested and sentenced to death after trial. The convict was under treatment at jail hospital for TB. His body was shifted to morgue of Jinnah Hospital, and waited for a decision on his plea in the Supreme Court.
