Participants at seminar on "Formulation of Youth Policy" under the aegis of Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) have put several recommendations and suggestions in the line of national policy 2008. The TCKP had arranged two-day seminar here at Archives Hall Peshawar, wherein more than 200 youth throughout province participated.
During the full-day deliberation, youth had been divided in 15 groups under a team leader to give suggestions and recommendations in light of national policy 2008, said Zahoor Durrani, consultant Youth Tourism Development Programme (YTDP) TCKP, while talking to a group of reporters here on Saturday.
He said the two-day deliberation basic aim was to incorporate proposal of youth before forming a new policy for them. He informed that more than 200 students participated in two-day seminar, which put different proposals and suggestions regarding the new policy.
On the second day, he said that the students had divided in 15 groups to develop proposal and recommendation in light of national policy 2008. He explained that the salient features of the national policy, which were included motivation awareness & Sense of pride, Character building, National Integration, promoting sports recreation, Academic & Intellectual Development, Youth Health, Social Volunteerism, Incentives for talented & high performing youth, youth mentoring, Institutional Plan, and youth council etc.
He maintained that the youth had focused on these features for development of any their recommendations and proposal for the new policy. He added that the youth also kept the geographical, historic, cultural, traditional norms and values of the region, while giving any idea and views about the policy.
