Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday blasted Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman for its ridiculous comments over growing popularity of PTI headed by Imran Khan. In a statement issued here PTI spokesman says that the rising strength of PTI and Imran Khan has unnerved many but none more so than the chameleon of Pakistani politics Maulana Fazalur Rehman.
The statement says that nothing reveals this more than what Fazal said in an interview with a TV channel. Crossing all limits of political decency, he accused PTI of being supported by the establishment, by the American CIA, and by the Jewish lobby, it added.
The party called upon Maulana before giving any statement he must not forget the Hindu lobby but then again not so much of a surprise because the party he belongs to and its predecessor the Jamiat-e-Ulemae Hind opposed the creation of Pakistan.
The problem for Maulana and others of his ilk is that have nothing else to say but hurl wild accusations. "This is the same Maulana who asked the American Ambassador to help him become the Prime Minister of Pakistan...this all was revealed in the Wikileaks documents, who then has a history of seeking patronage of the Americans," it added. The statement further said that Maulana Fazal should not forget his undying support to Musharraf. With him in charge of the MMA, he ensured the passage of the 17th amendment to give life to Musharraf's rule, it added.
"Fazal also helped Musharraf in the fraudulent and fake Presidential elections...due to these services to the establishment he got allotted large tracts of land to himself and his family in Dera Ismail Khan. So, who has a history of supporting the establishment? Maulana Fazalur Rehman or Imran Khan," the statement questioned.-PR
