Witnesses testify against Ishaq Dar in accountability court
An accountability court was handed details of former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar during a hearing on Friday, pertaining to a corruption case filed against him by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Once the hearing resumed, witnesses Muhammad Naeem, Zafar Iqbal, and Kaboos Aziz, recorder their testimonies before Judge Muhammad Bashir. According to local media reports, Zafar Iqbal testified that Dar and his wife have 15 bank accounts.
Kaboos Aziz said that he had appeared before NAB Lahore in August 2017 and had presented details on the family tree of Dar.
Earlier, the court had granted Dar's application to unfreeze his asset accounts of Hajveri Trust bank account on welfare grounds. The former finance minister has been absent from court proceedings since the past few months and has also been declared a proclaimed offender by court.
