Secretary General, Jamaat-i-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, on Saturday has appreciated the Senate role over protest against the US Congress committee's interference in Balochistan affairs. He said that Balochistan's situation is serious and JI was prepared to convene a moot, which is required immediate consideration at national level.
Liaqat Baloch, in a statement, said that Balochistan is surly our internal matter, the US, India or any other country have no right to interfere in our affair. However, he said the killing of the security personnel and the Baloch youth, and sailors, the killings of innocent people under the garb of sectarian clashes, and the killings of Baloch women in Karachi, were serious issues and termed it human rights violations.
"The Baloch people were already living in hand to mouth position. They were not opposed the new development and progress. However, they were against Military operations and the corrupt Baloch chiefs". Liaqat said that the national and religious parties made joint efforts to heal the wounds of the Baloch people and remove their deprivations before it was too late. He said the President Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani and Army Chief General Kayani were answerable to the Baloch people.
