Tariq Sayeed, Vice President CACCI and former President Saarc CCI and FPCCI, expressed his concerns over the shortage of number of judges performing their duties in Sindh High Court (SHC), due to which the people are suffering unnecessary delays on the judgements of their cases.
He said presently only 12 judges were performing their duties in the SHC against a total strength of 42 judges, due to which backlog of cases was gradually increasing and if the problem was not tackled by employing modern technique ie case flow management and by inducting new judges, the backlog would be a stigma for the institution.
He said there were 12 judges in SHC viz: seven in Karachi; two in Hyderabad; two in Sukkur and one in Larkana and were heavily over burdened due to non-appointment of judges. Tariq Sayeed appealed to the President of Pakistan to appoint new judges in the SHC for expeditious dispensation of justice to the affected people.-PR
