CEC lays foundation stone of additional block

Former Justice Hamid Ali Mirza, Chief Election Commissioner on Wednesday laid down the foundation stone of a new five story block here in the ECP, Secretariat. The ceremony held in the secretariat of ECP and was attended by the members, the secretary, senior officers of ECP and the PWD officials.
The PWD officials briefed the commission on the construction plan of the new block confirming the completion of the project within a year. The new block will get utilised for Federal Election Academy, which would be imparting various courses like capacity building, refresher courses and training of neighbouring countries, SAARC etc. Moreover, there will be offices for CEC, members, conference rooms and a guest house.-PR
