Widows of Professor Channer given Rs one million cheques

Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Professor Dr Nazir A Mughal handed over two cheques of Rs one million (Rs 500,000 each) for financial assistance of two widows of Professor Bashir Ahmed Channer, Director Students Affairs, who was shot dead on January 2. The cheques were received by Aziz Channer and Muhammad Dawood Channer, sons of Professor Channer.
The vice chancellor also offered his co-operation and all assistance to the family of Professor Channer on his and on behalf of the university. The sons of Professor Channer expressed their thanks to the Vice Chancellor. The Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Parveen Shah, Deans of the Faculties, Registrar, Director Finance and others concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
