Provincial Minister for Labour Haji Ehsanuddin Qureshi has said that elected representatives played a key role in promoting public awareness against dengue. Addressing the delegations of doctors, paramedics and labourers he said that every effort will be made by the government to prevent dengue virus taking serious proportions during spring season.
He said that government will provide all out guidance and assistance to non-governmental welfare organisations for this purpose. He said that 7,000 brick kiln children have been registered for education in Lahore and Kasur districts while interest-free loans of 75 million rupees have been given to brick kiln workers.
