The met office on Thursday forecast mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. The office said, however, rain with snowfall over the hills likely to occur at isolated places of Quetta, Zhob, Kalat and Malakand divisions on Friday.
"Shallow westerly trough is affecting north-west Balochistan and likely to produce isolated rain/snow. A fresh westerly wave is likely to approach on Sunday that will generate scattered rain in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Balochistan, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. This weather system is likely to persist next for three days". It said lowest temperature was recorded in Parachinar and Kalam as minus 11 degree centigrade, Malamjabba minus 9, Quetta minus 8, and Astore minus 7 during the last 24 hours.
