The Capital administration had banned the entry of at least three leaders of Difa-e-Pakistan Council leaders Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) Chief Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi and Khadim Hussain Dhilloon for seven days.
Sources in capital administration said that the circular of the three leaders had been distributed among the personnel of law enforce agencies deputed at all the check posts at entering point. It has been further learnt that their arrest warrants have been issued as soon as they enter into Islamabad Capital Territory.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik already made it clear to the participants of the Council that government would not allow them to sit in at D Chok in front of parliament.
On the other hand, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi reached Rawalpindi on Sunday to participate in the meeting of parties' leaders. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq, JUI-Functional chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaqat Baloch also participated in the meeting.
The leader of religious parties reached to conclusion that they will file a case in Supreme Court of Pakistan against putting restriction for entering the city of some of DPC leaders.
The heads of all parties comprising Defence of Pakistan Council had finalised their strategy for Monday's (today) rally in capital.
At the concluding of meeting, the DPC leaders in a press conference vowed to challenge the decision of capital administration in the apex court.
Maulana Samiul Haq criticised the Pak Army's role in stopping the sudden surge in drone attacks. He said, "Military has vowed to bring down the US drones but failed to stop them, thus responsibility comes to DPC to stand up for the cause."
He further said that Dr Aafia Siddiqui has been treated in US jail shamefully.
In a latest development, the Council changed venue of the sit-in. Earlier it was supposed to be in front of the parliament, but now it will be held at the Aabpara Chowk in Islamabad, he said.
