At least 12 people including three teenagers were killed and over 36 others injured in an explosion at a bus stand, said hospital sources here on Thursday. The explosion also damaged 15 vehicles parked at the bus stand, which is situated on Kohat Road.
The bodies and injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). The hospital sources confirmed that 11 bodies and 37 injured persons had been shifted. The teams of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and started relief operation. The explosive material was planted in a vehicle parked in the bus stand.
The victims have been identified as Abdullah 12, son of Dilawar, resident Bazidkhel; Amir Ali 38, son of Amir Sanat Shah, resident of Karak; Kashif, son of Malik Riaz, resident of Multan; Mohammad Amin 50, son of Ghosuddin, resident of Kurram Agency; Yaqub, son of Bahadar Kalley, Sabz Ali Khan 50, resident of Banda Mosam Shah and Haider 17 son of Pervez Resident of Badhber while the names of the remaining five could not be ascertained.
