The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, on Friday visited Ordnance Centre, Malir, in connection with Commanding Officers' Conference of the Ordnance Corps. An ISPR statement said that the Commanding Officers' Conference is a formal event for interaction between unit commanders and senior officers.
It is aimed at professional and administrative improvement within units of a particular regiment with special emphasis on issues affecting the soldiers. Talking on the occasion, the COAS appreciated the progress on projects, to improve the operational preparedness of the Corps of Ordnance. Ongoing improvements in infrastructure and procedures will enhance the Army's abilities to counter multi spectrum threat and reduce overhead costs.
