The City police here on Sunday thwarted a bid of narcotics smuggling to Punjab by seizing 283 kilogram hashish of fine quality on GT road in two raids and arrested three accused on the spot. Bashir Dad Khan, Station House Officer (SHO), Chamkani police station told APP that on a tip off, a police party raided to frustrate the bid.
In the meantime, a truck no. 3092 DI Khan appeared on GT road in the limits of Chamakani police station and was intercepted after a little chase that led to recovery of 275 kilogram hashish of fine quality.
Driver namely, Muhammad Shoaib Khan son of Sher Afzal resident of Pabbi was arrested.
In yet another attempt, nine kilogram hashish was allegedly recovered by police from Siyar Khan and Mst Rukhsana, resident of Jamrud Khyber Agency.
They were going in a taxi car when apprehended by police. A case against the accused has been registered and investigation was started.
