All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association (APOTOA) on Monday threatened to launch a country-wide protest, if the government failed to meet its demands. Talking to Business Recorder, Yousuf Shewani, a representative of APOTOA said that the association had in a meeting with Administrator Karachi Muhammad Hussain demanded elimination of the role of NLC in private transportation.
The association had also demanded 30 percent cut in petroleum prices and freezing of the reduced prices for three years, he added. He said that APOTOA had presently stopped goods' supply to Karachi only warning to launch a country-wide protest if the association's demands were not met.
