To promote the economic thought of Iqbal and to find the practical possibilities of its implementation, an International Conference 'Pak Finance 2012' will be held at Lahore on March 28 and 29 with academic collaboration of Iqbal Academy Pakistan.
This is the Iqbal Academy Pakistan's first major event, which is being held in line with the announcement of Prime Minister of Pakistan to declare 2012 as Iqbal Year.
The event will have a conference titled Islamic Finance: Breaking Chains of Exploitation and an Islamic Financial Products Expo. The event aims at bringing various stakeholders of Islamic Finance under one roof and providing a common platform where the international experts, academics, research scholars, policy makers, regulators, Islamic finance and Takaful providers, representatives of trade bodies and business associations, government functionaries and end users can exchange their views and share ideas for the growth and development of the very fast growing sector of Islamic Finance.
The main focus will be on agriculture, SME, microfinance, transport and industrial sectors. The event will provide an opportunity to the Islamic Banking and Takaful institutions and other exhibitors to directly interact with the end users and generate potential business chances. Businessmen, farmers, traders, academics, students and general public from different walks of life are likely to attend the event.
'Pak Finance 2012' is being organised by eTechnologies and Management (eTeaM), Lahore. The event has already been supported by Smeda and Business Support Fund of Government of Pakistan, the Gujrat and Sialkot Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Al-Muneeb Sharia Academy, Karachi University Business Alumni, Farz Foundation, Anjuman Tajiran Pakistan and Hall Road Traders Association. Riphah International University, Islamabad is also the academic partner of the event.-PR
