The Lahore High Court allowed bail to former IT consultant and system analyst of intermediate boards, Majid Naeem and Tariq Masood after hearing the petition. Earlier, his counsel contended that Chief Minister (CM) Punjab had directed for registration of the criminal case against the petitioner. He contended that under the law CM Punjab could not pass such directions.
He said that inquiry was still pending against the petitioner and no irregularities were proved against the petitioner. The court was informed by the law officer that due to irresponsibility of the respondents, the future of thousands students was put on risk. He said two students had committed suicide as board had issued wrong result due to new IT system in the boards. The court after hearing both parties at length allowed bail to Majid Naeem and Tariq Masood.
