Sindh Government has initiated the work to prepare Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2012-13, as various departments are submitting their proposals about the development schemes to be included in the programme.
On the directives of Additional Chief Secretary (P&D) Malik Israr Ahmed, the chiefs of all sections of the department had written separate letters to the relevant provincial departments for submissions of proposals regarding development schemes to be included in the ADP 2012-13.
"Though, P&D had fixed January 31, 2012 as deadline for submissions of proposals of schemes but many of the sections of P&D are still waiting for the proposals of concerned departments," an official of P&D said. He said the process of submissions of the proposals would continue till the final printing of ADP 2012-13 book.
He added that Education, Zakat and Ushr, Auqaf, Social Welfare, Population and other departments had submitted their proposals while many others had not submitted yet. He maintained that Education department had submitted 62 proposals initially and it would submit further proposals.
Sources said that the first edition of ADP proposals would be printed in the first week of March 2012, which would be reviewed in high level meeting. After the review, the second edition of ADP would be printed in mid of April and third edition in May 2012, sources said.
Last year, Dr Kaiser Bengali, former Advisor to Chief Minister for Planning and Development had headed the overall process of ADP preparation. But this year there is no political head of the department that's why Additional Chief Secretary (P&D) Malik Israr Ahmed is supervising the work to prepare ADP 2012-13, the sources said.
