At least two persons were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Monday. According to police, a young man was shot dead in the limits of PIB police station. The incident took place on Monday where a 26-year-old Sarwar son of Mohammad Ismail was targeted in a drive-by shooting at Main Bazaar PIB Colony. Resultantly, he received fatal bullet wounds and died on spot. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities.
Police said the victim, who was the resident of Nagaman Goth B area Liaquatabad was kidnapped on Sunday when he was sitting at puncture shop situated near Sindhi Hotel. They said the deceased, who was tortured and then murdered, got married some two months ago and presently, he was unemployed. A case 64/12 was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of his uncle Yousuf and probe was initiated.
A 38-year-old man shot himself at Bhittaiabad, Gulshan Iqbal in the limits of Sacchal police station. The victim, who was identified as Elahi Bux son of Karam Dad and a resident of Sanghar, arrived in Karachi for medical treatment and was presently staying at his brother-in-law house at Bhittaiabad. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities and later handed over to his family. Police said his illness was the motive behind his suicide and added that the victim was the father of four.
