Another incident of minor girl, who was raped and then murdered in Gulistan Jauhar, has caused to anguish Karachiites about the security of their broods in the city. According to police and eyewitnesses, the half-nude body was recovered from a graveyard located in block 4, Gulistan Jauhar near Kamran Chowrangi. They said the victim, who was identified as eight-year-old (A) daughter of P.K, was strangulated by someone.
They said the deceased, who was the resident of Mughal Hazara Goth and hailed from Rajinpur, Punjab, went missing from Sunday evening while playing with her friends outside her house. They said the police on the information of inhabitants recovered her body from the graveyard on Monday.
When contacted, DIG East Captain Tahir Naveed said the investigation has immediately been initiated as this was second incident in a short time span and added that the statements of the family members have been recorded but nobody was so far nominated in this case. Meanwhile, the body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy.
