Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, on Monday urged the ambassadors to serve as a bridge between the government of Pakistan and the government of the host country for the mutual benefit of the people of two countries.
The Prime Minister expressed these views as Pakistan's Ambassadors-designate Khalid Durrani (Algiers), Nasrullah Khan (Brazil), Manzoor-ul-Haq (Egypt) and Ayaz Hussain (Libya) called on him at the PM House, before proceeding to the countries of their accreditation.
The Prime Minister asked the ambassadors to explore the prospects of trade and also enhancing collaboration in energy sector. Ambassador-designate Khalid Durrani said there existed, a lot of goodwill between Pakistan and Algiers. Nasrullah Khan apprised the Prime Minister that he would enhance co-operation between Pakistan and Brazil in the fields of agriculture, bio-fuel and improved variety of cotton seeds.
