Wheat fell more than 1 percent on Tuesday, and corn also tumbled, under pressure from a stronger dollar and a broad-based sell-off in commodity markets linked to renewed economic concerns. Chicago Board of Trade May wheat dropped 1.4 percent or 9-1/4 cents to $6.62-3/4 a bushel as of 11:49 am CST (1749 GMT), dipping under the 30-day moving average to a one-week low.
CBOT May corn slid 5 cents or 0.8 percent at $6.55-3/4 a bushel, pressured by outside markets and profit-taking after the rise on Monday to a four-month high. The most-active CBOT May soybean contract turned off earlier losses to rise 5 cents or 0.4 percent at $13.30 a bushel.
