College of Art and Design, Punjab University on Friday launched MS Art History programme on Friday. An orientation of first batch of 18 students was also held. College Principal Professor Dr Rahat Naveed Masud welcomed the first batch and briefed the students on the curriculum, importance and value of the programme.
She said that the programme would help in producing Art-Historians, Art-Critics, Art-Archivists, Museum & Gallery Curators and Art-Activists. Co-ordinator of Research Center, Dr Shaukat Mahmood, Dr Anis Sidiqui, Dr Shahida Manzoor, Dr Nadra Khan, Dr Barbara Schmitz, Athar Tahir, Dr Shoiab Ahmad and Nadeem Alam introduced students with the curriculum along with various Art-History Subjects designed and developed particularly for this programme.
