The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of the Planning & Development Department Punjab approved six uplift schemes of P&D, Communication and Livestock. Around Rs 2,845 million will be spent on these schemes. This was decided in the 31st meeting of PDWP held in the chairmanship of Chairman Planning & Development Board Javed Aslam on Saturday.
The schemes which were approved included project for rehabilitation of walled city Lahore, expansion of Depalpur-Bonga Hayat road; renovation of the foundations of five bridges at Rawalpindi Highway circle, construction of Jhang bypass road and construction of DG Khan road from Pull Dat to Kot Mubarik via Habet Chhabri and Yaru. Officials from finance, P&D and other departments concerned attended the meeting.
