ISLAMABAD: Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani in Indian Occupied Kashmir has expressed serious concern over the miserable plight of illegally detained Kashmiris lodged in different jails.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in held Srinagar said that as per reports, the ill-treatment meted out to the detainees belonging to Jammu region was very distressed and worrying.

He strongly denounced the jail authorities for their callous and brutal behaviour and said that they had virtually turned the jails like that of infamous Abu Ghraib and detention period of the mates was being prolonged on one pretext or the other.

The APHC Chairman paid glowing tributes to Zakir Hussain Butt, Muhammad Qasim Sheikh, Atta Muhammad, Gul Muhammad Khan of Udhampur, Muhammad Aslam (Chenab Valley), Abdul Waheed, Muhammad Abbas, Farooq Ahmed, Hassan Babar and Abdul Rasheed (Riasi), Ghulam Nabi Gujri, Abdul Rasheed Butt, Abdul Rasheed Rathar, Hakeem Qiasar, Shabbir-ul-Islam, Abdul Raheem, Hilal Ahmed Pala and Muhammad Saleem War, all lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu, and hailed their commitment and steadfastness towards the ongoing liberation struggle. “We are proud for their exhibition of commitment with the freedom movement,” he added.
