Plea for Aitzaz's disqualification: LHC adjourns hearing of petition till April 5

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday adjourned hearing of a petition seeking disqualification of Aitzaz Ahsan as Senator till April 5. The court directed Aitzaz's counsel to argue on the maintainability of the petition on next date of hearing. The petitioner contended that Aitzaz was defaulter of agriculture tax, but despite that Election Commission accepted his nomination papers.
He said the respondent was liable to declare disqualified as member Senate under article 62 and 63.
