Capital police on Thursday arrested 20 members of Hizb-ul-Tehrir (HT), a banned outfit, from the limits of Industrial Area Police Station. A police official said that police on a tipoff raided House No 24, Street 25 in Sector I-9/2 and arrested 20 members of Hib-ul-Tehrir. The members of the banned organisation were holding a secret meeting in the house, he added.
Police shifted the arrested people to an undisclosed location for investigation. Meanwhile, Kohsar Police arrested an accused, Sheikh Tahir, allegedly involved in four different cases of fraud registered in 2004.
