A cop was shot dead on Thursday outside his house located in Gulshan Munir in the precincts of Al Falah police station. According to police, a Police Constable (PC) Shamshad Ali, 40 son of Mushtaq Ali, who was resident of Gulshan Munir Malir, was targeted by two armed men at his house.
They said that the culprits, who called him outside home, fired two bullets on him that claimed his life. Police shifted him to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. SHO Asif Munawar said that the victim was deployed in Saudabad police headquarter East and added that his wife Naghma in her statement alleged his two relatives namely Saqib and Babloo in his murder. A case 24/12 was registered on the complaint of his wife Naghma.
