Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) organised a technical training workshop on "SMART STOCK SYSTEM", (SSS) which is the part of series of workshops for brokers and their staff. Key speaker Farhan Asim Deputy Manager Database LSE delivered a comprehensive lecture about how to make the best use of Smart Stock System and key features of the system.
He said that (SSS) is a cost effective solution for capital markets. He said that Smart Stock System (SSS) is a multi-user broker back-office system capable of intranet as well as internet access through a web browser.
The system is capable of managing the entire lifecycle of information and processing relating to broker clients and their trading activities. He said that this system was for the maintenance of accounts, commission slab, clearing settlement and trading, trading management, interfacing and integration, auto e-mailing, data migration, web reports, trading reports, audit trail reports, stock holding reports, CDC comparison reports, history report and clearing schedule reports.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LSE, Aftab Ahmad Chaudhry addressed to the participants of the workshop. He briefed that the workshop contributes towards the smooth functioning of Brokerage Houses. He emphasised that the purpose of such workshop is to tune up the level of the member's employees in developing advanced technical skills according to the rapidly changing IT environment. He further added that such types of workshops could improve capacity building of the members and their employees which would ultimately help the members in long-term success of their brokerage business.
He also highlighted that LSE has initiated the first step towards national financial literacy awareness programme for youth in the form of "Financial Literacy Programme" for Young Investors. The programme is the first nation wide campus outreach programme for the awareness of youngsters about capital market and investments. The workshop was well attended by the directors, senior members/brokers, their staff and CEOs of the different brokerage houses.
