HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks fell on Thursday, putting the benchmark index on course for a weekly loss, in line with a global retreat after January's blistering rally.
The Hang Seng Index shed 0.75 percent, or 245.18 points, to end at 32,642.09.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.97 percent, or 33.85 points, to 3,446.98 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dropped 3.02 percent, or 56.76 points, to 1,821.06.
