Azad Jammu Kashmir, Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed directed Mangla Dam Resettlement Organisation to provide possible residential facilities and ensure timely rehabilitation of dam raising project affected people. Addressing various delegations of the Mangla dam affected persons and local traders on Friday, the Prime Minister ordered to ensure the supply of building material to the affected according to the market rates in their new housing abodes.
The AJK Prime Minister earlier visited the local traders at Naangi Auto-mobile shopping area who hosted reception in his honour here. He inquired about their problems and assured them every possible measure to promote business activities in the area. Chaudhry Majeed said that the government has yet implemented bulk of the package for compensation and rehabilitation of the affected families. He directed the construction of required civic amenities including play grounds in the small towns at Islamgarh and Chakswari areas meant for the displaced families.
He said that the people of AJK would continue rendering sacrifices for the stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. The PM said the people living in remote and far-flung areas of AJK would be provided with the latest amenities of life at par with the dwellers of the urban areas of the territory.
He said that Mangla dam affected persons were being served with the fullest relief under the already-reached agreement. He said that various mega projects of public welfare have been launched in the district for which the government of Pakistan has allocated the colossal funds.
