Provincial lawmaker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Faisal Sabzwari said on Friday that the business community's demand for action against the extortion mafia in the city was being ignored. Following the adjournment of the Sindh Assembly session by the Deputy Speaker, Sabzwari stood and started addressing his colleagues in the house, saying "we are not allowed to raise our concerns over the strengthening extortion mafia in the city."
The MQM's members loudly responded with "shame shame". He said that despite repeated demands by traders for action against the extortionists, no one was paying heed to the growing problem. He demanded of the government to take strict against the criminals who had become habitual of demanding money from the traders.
