The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) and World Engagement Institute (WEI-USA) have entered into a partnership to prepare a programme of educational collaboration through wireless communication. The MoU was signed on Saturday by UVAS Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and director government and International Relations, Islamic Food and Nutrition council USA Mohammad Adil Khan Qasmi at Vice Chancellor's chamber.
The WEI would introduce the long distance learning courses, workshops through video conference and provide financial support for research and capacity-building projects. Director government and International Relations, Islamic Food and Nutrition council USA Mohammad Adil Khan Qasim said that the WEI would provide all out managerial as well as professional skills to implement the innovative learning in Pakistan.
UVAS Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that UVAS was the only institution in Pakistan which was playing pro-active role to uplift the livestock sector and producing skilled human resource in this regard. The MoU will remain valid for five years.
