Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand is arriving Pakistan on Monday (today) at the invitation of President Asif Ali Zardari. According to Foreign Office, the visit will carry forward the long-standing tradition of royal visits from Thailand to Pakistan.
"Pakistan and Thailand enjoy close and co-operative relations", said a statement of the Foreign Office here on Sunday, adding that the visit of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn would reinforce these traditionally cordial ties between Pakistan and Thailand.
According to source, President Asif Ali Zardari will confer Hilal-e-Pakistan upon Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn during her meeting, which the president approved on March 9 in recognition of her efforts to assist 2010 devastating floods' affectees and her key role in fostering Pak-Thai relations.
