The Karachi Port handled 103,441 tonnes of cargo comprising1 74,453 tonnes of import cargo and 28,988 tonnes of export cargo including 5,738 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 74,453 tonnes comprised of 45,694 tonnes of containerised cargo; 250 tonnes of general cargo and 28,509 tonnes of bulk cargo.
The total export cargo of 28,988 tonnes comprised of 28,039 tonnes of containerised cargo and 949 tonnes of bulk cargo. Twelve ships namely Greenwich Bridge, UASC Ramadi, Felicitas Rickmers, APL Sharjah, OOCL Dalian, Spar Orion, Avra, APL Bakri, Azalea Galaxy, Se Pelagica, UBC Cyprus and Pacific Embolden with five container ships, two coal carriers, one oil tanker, two general cargo ships, one cement carrier and one DAP carrier respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Greenwich Bridge, MOL Bravery, UASC Ramadi, Hyundai Colombo, Se Pelagica and Sea Miror with four container ships, one general cargo ships and one bulk cargo ship respectively are currently at the berths. A container ship namely MOL Bravery sailed out to sea on Monday, while another container ship namely Hyundai Colombo is expected to sail on Tuesday. Two vessels viz Salis and Bruno Schulte with two container ships due to arrive on Monday, while two vessels viz MT Quetta and Colchester Castle with one crude oil tanker and one talcum powder carrier respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 88,063 tonnes, comprising 59,268 tonnes of import cargo and 28,795 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 2,180 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 59,268 tonnes includes 35,680 tonnes of diesel oil; 1,100 tonnes of palm oil; 6,564 tonnes of canola seeds; 990 tonnes of chemicals and 14,934 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 28,795 tonnes includes 2,309 tonnes of wheat and 26,486 tonnes of containerised cargo. Two ships namely CV Maersk Kentucky and MT Cirocco with containers and diesel oil sailed out to sea on Monday morning. A total number of seven ships namely CV Maersk Kentucky, MV Seagull-D, MV Hiba Al-Nour-B, MV Mercy Wisdom, MV Ikan Bayan, MT Bahrain Vision and MT Cirocco are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, canola seeds, chemicals and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
As many as five ships namely Wehr Muden, Safmarine Ngami, New Activity, Unicorn Emerold and Bold World with container, furnace oil, wheat and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. A total number of three vessels viz CV Wehr Muden, CV Safmarine Ngami and MT New Activity with containers and furnace oil respectively are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Monday.
A container ship namely CV MSC Levina due to arrive on Monday, while two more container ships namely CV Asir and CV Maersk Kolkata are expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday. As many as four container vessels viz CV CMA CGM Rossini, CV ACX Margurite, CV Nele Maersk and CV MSC Reunion are also expected to arrive at Port Qasim.
