President Asif Ali Zardari will visit Tajikistan at the invitation of his Tajik counterpart Imamali Rahman to attend Nauroz celebrations in Dushanbe on Sunday. Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit told newsmen on Thursday that the visit would provide an opportunity to the two leaders to review all aspects of excellent bilateral relations.
The spokesman said that the two leaders would also discuss the measures to further enhance bilateral political, economic, defence and security relations. They will also reflect on the development of rail and road infrastructure and air connectivity between the two countries. The President will also meet other leaders, who will attend the Nauroz celebrations. President Zardari will also attend a quadrilateral summit with the leaders of Tajikistan, Iran and Afghanistan on March 26 to discuss the Afghan situation and economic co-operation.
