Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that public welfare projects worth billions of rupees are an important step towards a prosperous Pakistan and there is no role of any 10 per cent in these projects. He said that we are marching forward with sincerity and commitment for development of the country under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif.
He said that due to worst load-shedding, not only a public welfare project like Muslim Town Flyover has been delayed but the entire country is being affected. He said that Nawaz Sharif would have to be brought for saving Pakistan and ridding the country of dacoits and plunderers.
He disclosed that one part of Muslim Town Flyover has been opened for traffic after completion whereas this project will be formally inaugurated on April 18 and both flyovers will be opened for traffic. He expressed these views while addressing the people during a briefing and inspection of Muslim Town Flyover project on Friday.
Provincial Minister Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor, Members National and Provincial Assembly, officers of NLC and Nespak and a large number of people were present on the occasion. Congratulating the nation on Pakistan Day, he said that 72 years ago, our elders, Ulema, scholars and notables of the province had made a pledge in the public meeting presided over by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah which is being given practical shape through implementation of public welfare projects.
He said that projects of infrastructure development, distribution of laptops among talented students, metro bus service, awarding of scholarships to deserving students out of educational fund are important steps towards making Pakistan a true Islamic welfare state.
He said that today on the historic occasion of Pakistan Day, we will have to resolve to make Pakistan a great country by removing the looters and plunderers and put the country on the road to progress and prosperity by making hard work and honesty our motto. Earlier, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif reviewed the pace of progress of Muslim Town Flyover project. Secretary Communication and Works Major Azam Salman (R) informed about the progress of the project.
