Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that his party would hold accountable all those who had been making plans to disobey the decisions of the Supreme Court. "We will not only fully respect the Supreme Court's decisions, but will stand up against those who are showing disrespect to the decisions of the Superior Courts," he said, while talking to reporters at the residence of Jamaat-i-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch here on Saturday.
He said: "It is extremely sad that plans are being made against the Supreme Court orders, which is extremely unacceptable." Nawaz visited the residence of Liaquat Baloch to condole with him over the sad demise of his mother. The PML-N President remained there and offered 'Fateha' for the eternal peace of departed soul.
When asked about possibility of restoration of Nato supply, Nawaz said the PML-N is going to hold a party meeting to discuss the resolution of the government regarding restoration of Nato supply. Nawaz slammed the incumbent government saying, it is not only the ruling party which is involved in corruption and other misdeeds, but the coalition partners are also equally responsible. The coalition parties are supporting the government despite rising poverty, unemployment, inflation and load shedding of electricity and gas, he added.
He said the incumbent government and its allies are equally responsible of present situation. He further said that prices of petroleum products had increased manifold due to "duties" levied by the government. He said people are facing hardship due to worst electricity load shedding. He added that in his own house there was 20-hour load shedding.
Talking about situation in Balochistan, the PML-N President said that Akber Bugti was killed in an army operation during Musharraf's regime. He said those who are showing sympathies with Akber Bugti today were part of the then government when Bugti was killed. Why these people had not left the then government at that time, he questioned? He expressed optimism that killers of Akber Bugti would be arrested sooner or latter. To another query, Nawaz said the PML-N is determined to steer the country out of prevailing crises and put it on road to progress and prosperity.
