Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that serving the masses was the mission of Punjab government and all-out resources were being utilized for the betterment and uplift of deprived segments of the society.
Addressing a ceremony on the occasion of opening of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) office on Raiwind Road, here on Sunday he said that they would fight against corruption like they faced dengue, flood and other challenges.
"People will hold accountable "Ali Baba 40 thieves" for plundering national wealth. The entire nation will have to get united for ridding of the plunderers and purging the country of corruption," he added.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the Muslims of subcontinent gathered in Lahore 72 years ago under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and passed a resolution demanding a separate homeland. He said that after a short period of seven years, an Islamic state was carved in on the map of the world due to numerous sacrifices and great struggle. But this is not that Pakistan, the dream of which was seen by the founders, he deplored.
The Chief Minister said that just distribution of resources will have to be ensured for the survival and security of the country and the gulf between the poor and rich will have to be bridged. This is the universal message of 23rd March, he added.
Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated PML-N office. Muslim League leaders Shahid Chaudhry, Sajid Chaudhry and a larger number of party workers were present on the occasion.
