In line with the rain forecasts, the growers of agriculture plains of the country should irrigate their wheat crops as per need, the met office has advised. "Wheat crop is in flowering to wax maturity stages in the agriculture plains of the country. The crop demand increased water during these stages. Therefore, farmers should irrigate the crops as per requirement keeping the forecast of coming rains in mind," said the office.
It said isolated to scattered thunderstorm/rain is expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from 26 to 28 March and in Balochistan the forecast is for March 25 to 27. However, weather in Sindh likely to remain dry.
