As many as 50 tricycles were distributed among disabled persons belonging to Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial here on Wednesday. The tricycles were distributed among the disabled persons with the help of Turkish International Co-operation and Co-ordination Agency and LABARD at a ceremony held at LCCI under the auspices of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
Addressing the ceremony, representative of LABARD (Lahore Businessmen Association for Rehabilitation of the Disabled) Muhammad Naeem Malik said that adequate efforts were being made for the provision of maximum facilities to the disabled persons to remove sense of deprivation among them and make them useful citizen of the society.
Apart from, special arrangements had also been made for providing training facilities to the disabled persons in various trade fields enabling them to earn their livelihood in a respectable way, he said. Naeem Malik appealed to the business community of Sialkot that they should allocate quota for disabled persons in their respective factories and ensure their training in various trade fields.
