Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Youth Wing) on Thursday hits out at PPP-led coalition government for rise in violence and killings of innocent people in the city. "Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party's mourning for the killing of their activists, has taken lives of dozens of people, while Rangers and police have failed to arrest the killers," said President PTI Youth Wing, Subhan Ali Sahil at a press conference held at Karachi Press Club.
He was flanked by the party's senior leaders and officials of the wing. He said that 53 vehicles were set ablaze and over 10 innocent people were killed on Wednesday, adding, the observing Mourning Day had become a regular feature. He said that Rangers had badly failed in performing their duties as killings of innocent people continued. He said police should be depoliticised with a view to clamp down on the terrorists.
"Violence and killings openly continued but the PPP-led government is silent spectator, which shows its involvement in whatsoever is happening in the city," he alleged, saying that the government would have to take steps to bring peace to the city. Sahil said Karachi was the economic hub of the country, which was being destroyed according to a planning. He said the political parties for their vested interests trying to destroy the city's peace and its economic growth. He said that the investors had started to quit Karachi as extortionists and land grabbers were largely enjoying government's support.
